this took so long to come out in europe but every bit of the wait was worth it. the intergenerational trauma of both the Immigrant and the Queer narratives juxtaposed/framed with very camp-y science fiction was simply a beautiful love letter to cinema as a whole, and this film is such a beautiful reminder of why people create the things they do. definitely one of the much better multiversal movies this year because it doesn't try to define itself or take itself too seriously but it also represents the covid era so well without alluding to the loss we all feel directly. favorite movie of 2022 so far <3
