It may not be the 'savior of horror movies' everyone is talking about, but for the most part, it's good.
There's been worse Blumhouse productions out there lol
A massive achievement. So many extras, so many lights, so much editing. The whole movie plays out like a chaotic dream, from Elvis's early days growing up in a black community, the wrongdoings of his manager, til his final days in poor health. The movie of course doesn't cover everything, as biopics tend to do (Pricilla Presley was 14 years old!) but, it's still a rock n rollin' good time, with an Oscar worthy performance from Austin Butler.
Call this movie a mess, call it one big hot bowl of product placement and cash grabbing for Warner Bros, and call Lebron's acting worse than terrible, BUT... you can't deny it's entertainment factor.
Maybe it's just my small brain, but I enjoyed quite a few things in this. Yo and when Big Chungus shows up - immediate 10/10 movie.
EVIL DIESβ¦ tomorrow (or sometime, I donβt really know)
This movie is a BLAST, and watching this in a packed theater on premiere night was one of the highlights of my year. This movie exceeds the 2018 predecessor in every way, and I canβt wait for everyone to watch it.Β
Yes, this movie has a relatively low Letterboxd score (which Iβm a lil surprised by to be honest), but it has everything a Halloween fan could ask for and more.β¦
