Cameron Menefee’s review published on Letterboxd:
An alright film in my opinion.
M3gan certainly got plenty of things right such as good acting performances, solid puppeteer and animatronic effects, fast pacing, decent direction, and good execution of trauma elements while I felt it could’ve done some things better such as the overall writing, presentation, character development, storyline, and the overall suspense.
Overall, not a bad film, but I think the underrated 2019 reboot of Child's Play with most of the same elements as this movie did a better overall execution job of this. A fine one time watch flick for me, I rather just watch Child's Play 2019 again instead of this tbh.
Watched on Peacock and saw the unrated version which has more violence and additional uses of “fuck” vs. the PG-13 theatrical version.
