Zoë Rose Bryant’s review published on Letterboxd:
Why was this actually sort of a serve omg??? It’s maybe not as anxiety-inducingly “authentic” as Searching - making a few leaps in logic and taking us in an INSANE direction in the third act - but the twists are just as thrilling (if not more so - multiple had me audibly GASPING) and the film’s emotional foundation of this strained relationship between mother and daughter is so relatable and riveting the whole way through. The people calling this the “airport novel version of Searching” aren’t too far off, but that’s still a MIGHTY fine time at the movies in my book.
