I am of the sincere belief that the exchange with the wolf is a peak cinema moment, along the lines of the Binary Sunset scene from the original Star Wars. Whole movie is great, but the last half hour is out of this world. This silly little movie simply has no right to be this funny and this affecting, but it is both and consequently also both my favorite Dahl adaptation and my (second) favorite Wes Anderson film. Just lovely.
