Zach’s review published on Letterboxd:
M3GAN is the latest attempt to showcase the dangers of the future and Artificial Intelligence. While a predictable approach for the majority of the film, it’s still an enjoyable experience for Horror fans. I do wish that it wasn’t so polished. In the first half, it felt reminiscent of a Cronenberg special, and developing this uncanny valley of AI, but that quickly changes when it gets to the nitty-gritty of Megan causing a ruckus around her protective path. With such a modern concept, I just wish it went more dystopian with the uncanny nature of Megan. However, I can’t deny the enjoyment I had with seeing her rack up her kill count. I laughed out loud quite a bit on certain scenes and dialogue exchanges. I would love to see a sequel, (and an R-rating one please), but as far as PG-13 horror goes, this was very entertaining and harmless. Especially in January.
