I’ve been waiting a really long time to see this because of how amazing the trailer was and oh boy it didn’t disappoint. First off this movie is soul crushing. Shaka King treated this subject with such good care. Every performance is amazing obviously. The movie is shot really good as well and King uses a lot of really cool camera techniques that kept me engaged. I also appreciate how violence is depicted. The shootouts are quick, painful, and brutal, I’m so grateful they didn’t treat this like an action scene because it’s not. The colors are excellent as well especially blood that really pops out and the background lighting of the city. Truly an amazing film and really excited to have a new director to look out for.
