All right, this movie is a fucking masterpiece.
Maybe it isn’t perfect, but they did find little ways to make it better from the script and also have it end on more of a light note that makes you not wanna die as much as the original.

The acting in this is incredible and so is the cast. Maybe I would have chosen someone other than Elijah…

This arthouse film is shot so beautifully. The colors and the 35mm grain ahh so refreshing. I love the shot composition and the lighting/shadows as well as the gore and the hanging scene. The location they got is also incredible, the stained glass ceilings and red carpet flooring.

The story is also so simplistic, but everything is set up so well and the execution is great in my eyes.

    The soundtrack is amazing.

1977 is just such a good fucking year for film.

I mean, obviously Todd Phillips, the guy that brought you the Hangover series, isn’t who you would want to make the Joker movie.

Some things were done well, but I’m only going to give credit to makeup and the lighting crew.

I definitely didn’t enjoy the portrayal of the relationship projected by Arthur.

The worst part was showing the movie theatre alley scene for like the 5th time and tying it into the joker riots.

I am not even a big fan of DC, but I just wanted to see Joker dropped into a vat of chemicals.

This coming of age story about young skaters in the 90s really met my high expectations. Every scene was incredibly authentic, perhaps due to Jonah Hills experience in acting and ability to immerse the cast within their roles. The dialogue is extremely natural and explores the hilarious naiveté of the characters. This film also works really well with the slight tonal shifts that happen seemlessly. Extra points for being shot on 16mm.
