Zach Gilbert’s review published on Letterboxd:
Miss Amy gave this her ALL but something about the execution was just... off? It’s never as abysmal or unwatchable as we feared (and as some have said), but it also can’t sustain its suspense even throughout a rather tight 101-minute runtime, making it easy to become disengaged when we should be firmly on the edge of our seats with each riveting reveal. Even a similarly subpar Gone Girl rip-off like The Girl on the Train felt more unnerving and urgent. Sigh.
Maybe with more scenes where Amy Adams and Julianne Moore just joke around with one another and drink wine, this could’ve been a 3/5.
