Yarjka’s review published on Letterboxd:
Pretty delightful overall. The voice work is professional and the cgi not at all distracting. There are a few moments where the story really shines—the portions with the baby elephant are really good and make me sad for how awful the live-action Dumbo is in comparison. The live actors in this provide decent performances as well, but there are times when those portions drag on and bring things down. Also a lot of side animals never get to really take part in the story and it takes too long for the dog-gorilla bond of friendship to solidify.
A very nice ending. I enjoyed seeing the photographs of the real Ivan alongside his true story.
