absolute fucking banger, the humor hits every time and i think this is one of the best enemies to lovers stories i’ve ever seen. their falling in love is completely believable and their conflicts understandable AND resolved in a satisfying way that brings them together and the story to a beautiful close. this is mostly due to the book BUT i think this adaptation of it adds to the story amazingly with the charming acting, visuals, and banger soundtrack. this movie hits every beat! man i love this film

Confusing at first to those who don’t know much Shakespeare (like me,) it takes a bit of thinking over to really grasp what this film is trying to convey. The Shakespearian elements in contrast with the modern setting of the film and the avant-garde style (and Keanu Reeves’ dramatic performance) makes some of the scenes a bit comical, but I think that the comedic element is a good thing and intended in some of the scenes.
