Upping my rating on this rewatch. I couldn’t help but look away during the worst animal scenes that I knew were coming. I had the option of watching the animal cruelty-free version on my disc but this was Lou’s first watch and by golly I was going to make him watch the entire thing (including the horrific muskrat scene that was missing from his version). 
Definitely the granddaddy of cannibal films, and a helluva way to start a Saturday morning. 😂
