Let's just start calling Hooptober what it actually is: Spooky Christmas. I look forward to Cinemonster's seasonal horror gauntlet with greater anticipation than any gifting experience, home-cooked feasts, or gathering of loved ones. This is my SIXTH outing into the finest bit of film nerd extremism out there. Just what is the magic alchemy of the "one film can satisfy multiple criteria" exercise that makes this list building so damn gratifying? Thrilled to watch and share with you all!
