I understand perfectly why an American audience hated this. It has all the ultra-specific idiosyncrasies of his Korean language work but translated not only to Western characters, but a Western backdrop and culture. It produces this crazy mixture of tones and styles which I found to be soooo much fun to watch. The spectacle of it, the always perverted pov. Just a rad weeeeeird film.
