    Damn was I a fool.  For something like 15 years now I’ve wrote this film off and misjudged it.  It may not be as full of belly laughs as other Wes Anderson productions, but it sure has a plethora of heart.  Margot has mine. ❤️
    Nothing better than the feeling of fulfillment after connecting with something you loathed for years.  Cheers to time, shifted perspectives, and second chances!  Fits in well with themes of the film too, I’d say.

    A slo-mo punch to the heart that I'd say is even more devastating than Grave of the Fireflies. This one really hurts, but it's all so beautifully realized with a gentle and meticulous pacing that's signature of Kore-eda.     When watching Spookies, expect some rather endearing practical effects (spider lady), cringe-tinged laughter at the nonsensical, and a top seed (named “Duke”) in the canon of hysterically awful horror characters…surrounded by a hodgepodge of hot gar-báge.  A good time when the mood calls!  💩
