    Hedwig and the Angry Inch

back in 2001 when hedwig was released i was only halfway through my teens. when the film opened downtown, roughly 30 minutes away from my high school i honestly felt like i was sneaking off into uncharted territories.

sure, i was a film buff then. i enjoyed my limited ‘living in suburbia’ deep dive into queer cinema but the allure of hedwig and the angry inch after it’s premier in sundance felt needed and scary, a movie that felt notorious…

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

second best super-meta buddy action comedy of the year.

third best paddington film of the decade.

had some fun watching this. cage and pascal are truly joyous to watch. there’s a film franchise here where these two chums fight the putins and kim jong uns of the world together - rogen and goldberg missed out on that one.

can’t help but feel this movie was missing just a bit more deep cut cage-isms. oh, and much more fun/gory violence.

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

it’s the greatest movie ever made so now i can finally take off my 35-year-old unwashed spidey pajamies, move out of the unregulated sectioned-off basement apartment i can barely afford, turn off my gaming computer that i’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on (money i should have probably instead spent on new clothes, a hair cut, a gym membership, decent healthy food and a few dates), stop talking about comic book movies on twitter/4chan/tiktok/instagram and just go outside and…
