Maybe it's because I'm watching this for the fifth time right after Moonlight won Best Picture at the Oscars. Maybe it's because I'm feeling overwhelmed that this queer, black movie from my goddamn city was just recognized as the Best Picture of 2016. Maybe it's because I'm prone to getting too emotional sometimes. But maybe, just maybe, I'm sitting here crying at 3AM because the third act of this movie consistently fucks me up and it just hit me how essential Aretha Franklin's "One Step Ahead" is to the whole goddamn thing.

I'm so proud of the 305 right now. When the fuck did I start caring about this place?
