    Men, amiright?

The growing desperation of these men who just want to be seen in their own way. Showing the implosion of a friendship, and mostly through one side, is a somewhat brilliant way to our the audience in that same confused headspace as our ‘protagonist’. Colin Farrell is one of our finest working actors and puts on an absolute acting clinic. Gleeson going full gruff is the Gleeson we deserve.

Existential dread packaged in 80s grocery stores. This film is fucking wild. It feels like a series of vignettes, although there is a cohesive, narrative driven story being told. It’s just that sometimes Adam Driver and Don Cheadle will have an amazing conversation about Nazism and Elvis. At times feeling like an Altman film with its overlapping dialogue and hysterical situations.

Turns out having a choreographed dance is really fucking great. From Ex Machina to this years After Yang.
     I. Want. More. Dancing.

Don Cheadle really shines along the obvious Driver and Gerwig.

    I love this movie.

I gave my six year old son control of the remote and told him to pick a movie. So we sat through this abomination. I have since put him up for adoption.

Okay. I might get shit for this. But this movie is way better then it ought to be. It’s got laughs, thrills, and some genuine scares. Anchored by solid performances from Shia Labeouf and David Morse this is a movie that if you haven’t seen it because it looked like a cheap ripoff of rear window, think again. It stands on its own and is a decent little movie. I guess it’s another Shia surprise.
