    Roger Ebert was wrong 🧐

Extraordinary and outstanding crime thriller; weird, twisted, fascinating, multilayered, violent and atmospheric.

Not only a great prelude to Twin Peaks (Jeffrey is Dale, right? Among other glaring similarities) and probably Hopper's most powerful performance, just about everything from cinematography to music (especially Orbison's In Dreams) to dialogue to characters, is on a absolute top level.

Personally after (everything) Twin Peaks definitely my favorite of Lynch's works.

    I totally recommend.

    Let’s Rock!

The outstanding and mesmerizing prequel film to one of the greatest TV shows; strange, funny, tragic and disturbing, an absolute masterpiece!

"I do not need this shit right now [...] I must be dumb as hell."

Absolutely unbearable cringe fest, it's a total debacle 🤯 I was most annoyed with the dialogue and characters, pretty much all of them (villains and "heroes"/main protagonists alike) are completely selfish, aggressive, spiteful and condescending pricks.. that and the lack of decent action sequences.

I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy 😬

Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre

    Absolutely terrible ☹️

Cheap animations, zero attention to detail, no suspense nor tension, and colors! It's an insult to Junji Itō's outstanding and beautifully disturbing source material.

I stopped somewhere around the middle of the show, as I really couldn't be bothered with this crap anymore.

Starts fairly interesting, but then descends into ridiculous, banal, sensationalistic satanic panic.

To me an absolute inept and useless documentary!

Bloody sublime drama in every way, and a fantastic follow up to the astonishing movie This is England.

(And finally we get some proper representation, again 🥳 thanks Shane Meadows! So yeah, I’m very much biased 😁 Oi!Oi! 😉)
