The first time you watched Mulholland Drive, you are completely blown away by the bizzare enigma that you have just witnessed. You can't make heads or tails of it, but you slowly start to develop theories and ideas, trying to decipher it.
And on the second viewing, you find that your theories don't really add up, there are so many scenes and moments that just don't have a place and don't make any sense at all.
So then you check out some theories online and you find they're all over the place, some are completely incompatible with others.
So now you're even more confused, and you desperately want answer, so you read into the backstory behind the film and its production. And you are baffled beyond belief. Nothing at all adds up, everything is just... well just a mystery.
And on third rewatch you accept the mystery, and you're in love with it.
Well at least that's what happened to me.
I love you Lynch you beautiful mad maniac.
