I'd wanted to watch this for one for a while, but I can't say I found it more than a little meh. The action is done well, it's fast but not in that fast cut way usually used, and the sword fights felt more raw because of it. The story itself though didn't bother me much at all, and although the actual Musketeers can be fun to watch, I didn't really feel much of a connection all in all.

I've seen this Hitch thriller a few times now, but on this rewatch I just felt a little flat. I mean it's nippy and taut, but I didn't feel much for the characters, and although it's watchable stuff, I can't say I felt more than a little so-so.

This is the cinematic equivalent of getting a shot of testosterone straight into the neck whilst wanking yourself off with a football scarf.

I mean it's watchable, and the end isn't bad, but I can't say I was exactly interested in the plot. I mean yeah it has its fun moments, but I didn't care too much for the romance, and the mystery didn't interest me until it's fully revealed. The cast are all fine, good choice of David Thewlis as the villain, and it was nice to see Sherlock come in more on the sleuthing, but all in all, whilst it's certainly not a bad film, I can't say I was just quite invested enough.
