Impressively made, and impeccably performed, "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" is a solid and high entertaining conclusion to the middle saga if not anything remarkable. It still suffers from many of the same issues of the first two films such as feeling too drawn out with scenes that don't really add anything (that love triangle is the total definition of tacked on and contrived), and the heavily use of CGI while sometimes impressive, just took me out of the experience at times. Not a whole lot works on an emotional level as well, as so many characters just feel thrown in with hardly any development. But, with that being said, the action and battle sequences definitely deliver, the pacing is surprisingly brisk, there are some good character moments, and it definitely wraps up in a fitting and satisfying manner.
Plus, Evangeline Lilly so beautiful.
