“It’s too bad she won’t live. But then again, who does?”
My love for this grows and grows the more I think about it.
In my eyes, it is the perfect Sci-Fi film. I adore films like Star Wars, Alien or Terminator but for me, the "cyberpunk city" feel and look, that Blade Runner has, wins me over every time.
The two main things I love about Ridley Scott's films are the cinematography and the set design. This and Alien, are two of the most beautiful films to look at. I was blown away by the set design in Alien but my god it's taken to a different level in this. The way he uses neon lights is perfect, you can tell that it's inspired so many other films to use similar lighting or for them, to take it to the next level.
It has everything. A score, which I've said before, can impregnate a man, the cinematography is that beautiful, it feels like you have been given a new set of eyes and it's wonderfully written.
This is Ridley Scott's masterpiece!
