Pearl was not your ordinary slasher movie. In fact, it was barely a slasher and that's a good thing.

Ti West drops the audience into the 1910's during the Golden Age of Hollywood where everyone wants to be a star, including our main character Pearl played by Mia Goth. For those who have seen X (2022) they already know this character and what she was able to do.

However those who haven't, they will get introduced to her and her…

Barbarian will be that horror mystery that would be something in the same lines of "Don't Go in the Basement" type of horror.

I'll admit that this movie would be the type that people will love or hate for how the story was set up, the tonal shift after the first half, and the characters in this movie. However, I will say the camera shots were good and the story that unfolded was clever. The atmosphere in this helped to…

    Therapy through art and madness.

Even through the great effects, makeup, and costumes. This movie had some struggling to bring its story to light so viewers can understand it completely.  Stevens has done great directional work for this movie and it shows how a tone shift can be done with a character role that Josh Ruben played.

Overall though this would be a decent watch. Some viewers of this might get more out of it than others but it’ll be entertaining regardless.

    Multiple universes, multiple possibilities.

A sci fi action adventure for the year was what this one became. The story was indeed Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The characters was great and shine in their own right. Comedic moments were pretty much hit for the biggest portion of the movie. The different universes get more crazier than the last. The fighting choreography was well done.

And with everything happening, this movie still put a focus on the outcome of Evelyn and…

Time to cut out the cancer.

James Wan drove in the gore and psychological twist in this movie.

The story started out one way and soon turned its path a different way that made it interesting.  The characters were decent and carry the story. However it wasn’t a strong engage to these characters. Leaving the kills a bit meh. Gory for sure but they didn't stand out.

I will say the twist in this was cool. As much as this…
