    American Underdog

Ended up seeing this at the LA premiere last week - and whew this was rough. The acting is fine but please tell me how the audience is supposed to believe Zachary Levi and Anna Paquin are in their mid-20s? Levi's head literally looks like his hair got spray-painted black before every take.

This was supposed to be a religious movie, but religion has only mentioned like 4 times throughout the movie even though it's supposed to be a theme…

  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife

    Ghostbusters: Afterlife

    ★★

Started off fun but then got overbearingly awful yikes

  • No Time to Die

    No Time to Die

    ★★

This movie really disappointed me. The villain and the overall threat of Malek's character felt very unimportant and inconsequential. All the surprises were just meh and didn't make me care. Action sequences were not as great at Spectre.

I'm convinced Rami Malek's punchable-ass face is film poison.

  • Halloween Kills

    Halloween Kills

    ★★

    The ending sucked I'm mad

  • Venom: Let There Be Carnage

    Venom: Let There Be Carnage

    ★★

Tom Hardy’s chest hair got me through this

  • Hillbilly Elegy

    Hillbilly Elegy

    ★★

It's hard to give a shit about any of these characters. Super repetitive and tiring. I swear if Glenn wins the Oscar for this performance out of all of her iconic ones, I'll shit.

  • The Incredible Hulk

    The Incredible Hulk

    MCU Rewatch (in chronological order)

Lifeless. Glad Mark Ruffalo eventually adds spunk and likability to the character.

  • The Passion of the Christ

    The Passion of the Christ

    ★★

Couldn't help but think that if 'Jesus' came to Earth again, the exact same thing would happen.

  • Pete Davidson: Alive from New York

Pete Davidson: Alive from New York

    ★★

So here's the thing. You can joke about race, sexuality, gender, etc. but the bottom line is that is has to be funny and not downright offensive. You can be offensive but still funny if it's routed in reality. And it's not. Pete's jokes just never really land.

The only enjoyable parts were him talking about his past relationship with Ariana Grande, and he had substance and concrete points during that segment, I just wish he had better delivery.

  • Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

    ★★

I'm gonna try and keep this short, because frankly it deserves very little of my time...SPOILERS AHEAD.

    1. Leia literally dies for no reason. I understand Fisher's tragic passing should probably end her story arc, but it literally makes no sense the way she died the way she did.
    2. The "resuscitation game" is honestly super fucking old.
    3. The way Disney/LucasFilm has little-to-no imagination anymore and keeps recycling the same "this is bad, let's gang up and get the…

  • Rounders

    Rounders

As a poker player, everyone in the community says this is the pinnacle of film-making...in reality it's far from the reality of what poker really is. Plus the story just sucks.
