Carl Hudson’s review published on Letterboxd:
There is a lot of running around in these films, especially in this and the second one. And a lot of scenes where character see something scary and scream or react. The latter adds a very human element that grounds this great fantasy horror film, but the first one is mildly annoying, even if I often like exploration in film.
This looks stunning, uses dreams in a fun way and has something to say, but I find all its expository non-dream scenes to be largely a waste.
