Thomas Vinterberg’s latest film delivers a strong analysis about the drinking culture, looking at the fun that comes with alcohol, as well as the dangers. I worship The Hunt as one of the past decade’s best movies, so it comes to no surprise that Vinterberg knows his craft well enough to balance such a delicate topic in ways that doesn’t glorify it but doesn’t condemn it either. Even better, he uses both the comedic and the serious moments to remind ourselves that we’re only human. Finishes off with easily the best ending of any movie this year.
