Exodus: Gods and Kings

Exodus: Gods and Kings ★★★½

Not more nor less ridiculous than Arronofsky's Noah, what is definitely not is boring and there's no Galaxy Quest's stone giants here. Scott knows his shit about sandals epics. I think it suffers a little being PG-13 but what the heck?! Gotta confess that when I saw Turturro I laughed like a bastard. The plague and chaos scenes were terrific. I wanted to see a street vendor selling fly swatters. And bigger swatters for locusts too. That parting of the sea thing was exciting as hell. What the script lacks Scott more than makes up in action spectacle.
