You Don't Mess with the Zohan

You Don't Mess with the Zohan ★★★½

Come on people you all are just mean to Adam Sandler. This movie is pure kino and I'm not ashamed to admit that I legitimately had a great time with it. You Don’t Mess with the Zohan is a movie about people chasing their dreams and the central drama is emotionally landing, it also effectively discovers about America racism and prejudice toward middle-easterners, if that is not enough this movie single-handedly ended the conflict between Jews and Palestinians, really tho what more are you asking from a movie?

But this is even better as Sandler's comedy. Here he left behind his usual child-like obnoxious character which means there is a lot less shoutings than one would expect from him and this is where Sandman is at his most over-the-top, bombastic, exaggerated performance ever. He is a badass jumping from one rooftop to another, dodging the bullets, kicking asses, he delivers actions like no one can and action stars like Tom Cruise and The Rock are pale in comparisons to Sandler.

This movie is borderline silly and doesn't make any sense but I left my brain somewhere else and just rolled with the movie and it was hilarious from start to finish even tho like most of Sandler's comedies this one doesn't know it's limit and occasionally takes some jokes too far. Still overall is so satisfying, exactly what you expect from Sandman: so bad that it's so good...
