IN DEFENSE OF JENNY:
I think most of us can agree this is a pretty great film. It's an epic nostalgia trip through classic Americana tied together with unexpectedly casual optimism and the undeniable charm of Tom Hanks. I think most of us can at the very least understand why it's endured so long as a "great American film".
One thing I won't agree with though is the hate that's thrown at Jenny for how "terribly" she treats Forrest. So…

I mean sure, The Lion King has catchy songs, incredible animation, a breathtaking score, clever dialogue, pitch-perfect voice casting, memorable characters, and an epic sense of wonder and majesty...
Yeah, it has all that CRAP, but this three-minute Youtube video told me it’s a rip-off of an anime that I’m not even gonna bother to watch.
So now it’s complete shit.
