    in 2015, after 5 years of civil conflict in the country, Vladimir Putin began a bombing campaign in Syria. This was covered horrifically in 2019's Oscar nominated documentary "For Sama." I live in an Upper-midwestern American city. I do not know what it is like to live in a war-torn, bomb-ridden country. My heart goes out to all who do. Why we continue to do this to each other in the 21st century is beyond my comprehension.

    Terrorists - am I right? They are just so hard to get rid of. But hey, we love to see the good guys do in the bad guys. That is one of the things that makes movie-going fun. Plus, you get explosions, gunfire, and hand-to-hand fight scenes. Cinema City Enterprises, a Hong Kong film company, bet the farm on it. They failed, of course, but they tried and that is what really matters.
