Aftersun ★★★★½

the pain of loving someone who is ultimately unknowable and taking what little fragments of themselves they left behind—everlasting moments that you may or may not have made up, images that seem trivial but carry the weight of the entire world, their words that stuck with you regardless of you knowing they were exaggerations, fairytales, things told simply to make you happy—to fill in the gaps haunting every corner of your memory when they are no longer with you… my head and heart hurt
