Works to the extent that Myers bridges the gap between living human and elemental force better than any other franchise villain. The beginning & end are good enough but the middle is kind of a drag. I was expecting this to be more of a portrait of Haddonfield (like The Fog is of Antonio Bay). The teenagers looked and acted more like grad students trying to recall high school. The two little kids were a lot more interesting and should have been in the foreground.
