I didn't know anything about The Panthers and barely have any knowledge about the Civil Wars but I have enough knowledge about the discrimination which happens everywhere.
Due to my lack of info about that era/events this came as a real shocker and was a very powerful film for me, but also but difficult to watch sometimes.
Daniel Kaluuya as Fred Hampton clearly steals the show and he's so fucking magnetic each time he's on screen. Lakeith Stanfield was also terrific William "Bill" O Neal but felt that his character was a bit under written as I really wanted to enter his psyche about the decisions he made. The demon of Breaking Bad😅 actor Jesse Plemons is just effortlessly great as Roy Mitchell.
Beautifully shot and written film and a great song at the end makes Judas and the Black Messiah one of the best films this season.
