Quinn’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well this is awkward... This drastic change of opinion obviously needs some explaining... My first viewing I watched as a Snyder-skeptic, my second viewing I tried watching solely as a DC fan. I still stand by some of my criticisms of my first viewing, but I think for many first viewings, the negatives can unfortunately overshadow the positives. I’m still not a HUGE fan of Snyder’s style, but in all honesty I realized how much more reserved it came across this second watch. The majority of his tropes (slow motion, song ballads, etc.) were much more recurring for the first hour, but then seemed to stop, and everything sort of faded into the background. Everything felt clearer this time for some reason. My first viewing I sort of begrudgingly watched in a haze of negativity and skepticism, expecting NOT to like it, which is honestly one of the worst mindsets you can have going into a film. But fuck it. I honestly had a more fun time this second time around if I’m being entirely honest.
