Very silly. Very cool. Very fun. I imagine they pitched this as John Wick set during WWII, and while it’s paper-thin, that’s really all you need for an awesome movie. Never lets up and it’s just a great time. The only issue with these types of movies though is there’s little-to-no sense of urgency because the main character is always indestructible, but regardless, still a badass film.

So are Makoto Shinkai’s films for children or adults?.. because these are some heavy ass movies.

Finally noticed this time around how good the writing actually is, the comedic timing and how so many setups come full circle. Also sooooo many film references. This is probably the only movie ever to reference Taken 3.

I don’t care how many popular faces and amazing visuals you throw in my face, if I can’t connect to anything and it feels soulless then I simply won’t give a shit about anything happening.
