Rory’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've watched Donnie Dario at least 10 times in the past 15 years. It came free with a magazine my parents got.
I can safely say I didn't understand almost anything in the film back then. I think I've grasped about an extra 10 percent every time, but there's still certain lines or scenes that click into place every time I watch it.
I would never say this film is perfect, or that it's the best made, or the acting or direction is brilliant and Oscar worthy. But it all comes together for me into such an engrossing, atmospheric package that I find really comforting to watch.
