Alison's Birthday 1981
I wanted to love this. The opening is genuinely spooky and the scariest thing to me in the world is being gaslit and held somewhere against my will.
But man this was horribly paced.
Also, how are you not going to take your dead ghost fathers advice? Your friend died to give you that advice too! Everything after that is just your own damn fault

The Mercenary 1968
The most exciting thing in this movie is wondering where this dude is going to light a match next and it never disappoints

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors 1987
Everything I thought I remembered loving about this franchise actually happened in this one movie.
I'm sure if Wes Craven had directed his original script this would have been much more terrifying, but I'm sort of glad that we instead got something between the hilarious anarchy of Evil Dead 2 and the helpless claustrophobia of Dawn of the Dead. As a matter of fact I would say it is tied with those two as my favorite horror sequel of all time.
I am the wizard master!
