The Godfather: Part II is the darker more brooding child of the legendary first film. This is a near perfect sequel and succeeds in every area where The Godfather did. With that said Marlon Brando had a wow factor that I feel cannot be fully achieved by any other character. Al Capone is incredible but he doesn't give me chills the way Brando did. I think nothing will ever be able to recreate the wow factor of my first viewing of The Godfather, and the fact that this film is even able to come close shows how excellent it is.
