  I feel like Lina Wertmüller uses prostitution and rape in her films as the ultimate and rawest form of exploitation and oppression in the male dominated, "modern" capitalist society and that's the only reason why I find that aspect of her artistic approach so compelling. In my own judgment, she's the only one allowed to make something, I dare to say, "funny" out of such a condemnable reality. As for this film, it made my life feel less miserable.
