• The Enforcer

    The Enforcer

    ★★½

Why did they keep trying to give Dirty Harry love interests? Stop this.

  • Kangaroo Jack

    Kangaroo Jack

The most 2003 movie ever. Fascinatingly bad. I don't think any censors even watched it. Why the fuck is Michael Shannon here?

  • Loki

    Loki

    ★★★

My buddy's been shilling this as genuinely decent for a while and pulled his birthday card to get me to watch it. He's right it's definitely better than any of the other Marvel stuff I've been unfortunate to see before that's for sure. Coulda done without the self-cest though.

  • Magnum Force

    Magnum Force

    ★★★½

Pretty good sequel that delivers on the grit and action for the most part, though some elements definitely could have been cut. The love interest subplot is especially out of place.

  • Spookies

    Spookies

    ★★★★

I'd remembered this being on Best of the Worst but I didn't remember many of the specifics about it and I'm kind of glad I didn't cuz it was a very fun watch. Trying to piece together what the fuck was going on and scratching my head at all the weird editing choices without knowing the backstory behind all the reshoots was definitely entertaining, but it's the spookies and their surprisingly awesome fx that really steal the show here. I…

  • Treasure Planet

    Treasure Planet

    ★★★

Some of its more obvious made-for-kid aspects don't really play for me (the annoying robot especially) but visually and concept-wise this is really neat. Definitely something I'm gonna be showing my nephew eventually. I must instill in him that Disney is the enemy for doing what they did to this movie.

Also the original songs sound like Visiting Day from that one Sopranos episode.

  • Rush Hour 2

    Rush Hour 2

    ★★★

It was my buddy's birthday so he had free reign to choose the night's movie docket. He chose this as the best of the series and I can imagine. Fun for the most part. I like how these movies apparently just exist as a vessel for playful racism and cool action sequences.

  • Dirty Harry

    Dirty Harry

    ★★★★½

Rewatching so I can finally check the sequels. Interesting to come back to after getting really into the poliziotteschis it heavily inspired and also becoming a Trek fan. Garak as the Scorpio killer is badass.

  • Faces of Death

    Faces of Death

    ★★

Not really as interesting as the hype led me to believe it would be. Skipped through the animal stuff cuz that's just no fun. Some of the human stuff is just very obviously fake (the "assassin" they interview looks like Demetri Martin) and the parts that are legit just made me feel bad.

  • Critters 4

    Critters 4

Dear sweet Christ these movies get excruciatingly boring.

  • The Hills Have Eyes

    The Hills Have Eyes

    ★★½

You can definitely do worse as far as the 2000s horror remake crop is concerned but this is still pretty whatever.

  • The Hills Have Eyes Part II

The Hills Have Eyes Part II

Woof. I tend to take horror sequels with nigh-unanimous bad ratings with a grain of salt seeing as how I tend to enjoy a decent amount of them for one reason or another but this one, man this really is garbage. You can tell Craven was only in it for the money. The prospect of making a THHE sequel and turning it into a more generic Friday-esque slasher to cash in on the craze isn't even necessarily that bad of…
