Laurie Strode’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lest we forget, James Gunn started his career firmly in horror. This might be his most depraved experiment yet. This is almost a 5 star horror film for me. Well-acted, well directed by the great Greg McLean. The transition from sterile, clear white wall cleanliness to gooping heaps of splattered blood is quite the difference in setting compared to the dirty filth of the Australian outback McLean got his rocks off directing early in his career. Which goes to show his versatility in setting.
