There are a lot of things about this film that I find questionable—the score primarily, and I also question some framing decisions, mostly the means of exposition that Scorcese employs. I question the focus on Ernest Burkhart, but this was a question Scorcese answers along the way, though I completely understand other viewers’ lack of satisfaction with his answer.
