This is the first movie in the series that feels like it doesn’t bring much new to the table—it’s more like a direct continuation of part 3. Sure there’s Alice as the “Dream Master” (which means she somehow inherits her friends’ strengths when they die?), but the concept seems a bit half-baked.
Nevertheless it’s still a solid entry and is plenty entertaining.
