I'll probably be that annoying movie theater guy from "Annie Hall" when I grow up.
Lots of examples of what not to do. Things like telling and not showing. Having character react in completely unrealistic ways to create a funny set piece. And so much more…
But it is a light watch, and the core conflict (not the superficial one the movie thinks is fun) is actually rather mature and has a few decent moments.
Over all it’s not good, but as a late night watch it passed the time in a fun way.
They didn't reinvent the wheel with this. They made a tight, well-crafted wheel. The kind of wheel you remember from the 80's and 90's. Buffed it up and made it super shiny. Spun it for us. Then threw it out of an airplane and made us remember why we enjoy looking at wheels in the first place.
