Hunter RL’s review published on Letterboxd:
Had been excited to see this for a while, and my expectations have been blown away.
Every performance is immaculate, Daniel Kaluuya has the Supporting Actor Oscar in the bag. Lakeith Stanfield should be getting more attention for this too, he’s at a career-best here. And Dominique Fishback is spectacular too.
Really hope Shaka King continues making feature films, from the opening shots of this I knew that the directing was gonna be incredible.
It’s a devastating and tragic story about two (very) young men that were manipulated and killed by their government, with one of the more horrifying third acts I’ve seen. But it’s great that it’s finally being told. You’re not learning any of this in History class.
