This and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore are easily Scorsese's most under appreciated films. It occupies this space between the urban grime of Taxi Driver, the surrealism of After Hours and the religious existentialism of The Last Temptation of Christ while also feeling wholly unique within Scorsese's catalog. It's also the closest thing to a horror movie Marty has ever made, creating this nightmare world of lost souls and seemingly walking corpses that just flood the streets of New York.…

Past Lives 2023
Finally got a chance to see this and Jesus Christ! One of the most profound and honest artistic statements I've possibly ever seen. There was something about all three of the characters in this movie that spoke to me on such a deep level. Barbie 2023
So satisfied with this movie. So funny, perfectly paced and a good chunk of depth. Truly couldn't ask for more from a product movie like this. The least corporate corporate movie. I'm so surprised they let them make this cause even more than something like the Lego movie which is subversive but isn't out right calling out its parent company like that.
I guess if I have to complain, it does have its annoying corporate sponsorship stuff, the non-Barbieland stuff…
