    “What are you saying man, you’re saying like, I’m like a Taco Bell kinda guy?”

    Great flick, one of the first Jarmusch films I remember seeing. A perfect film to put on in the background while doing mindless work and just letting yourself get lost in the dialogue and the next thing you know you’ve abandoned your desk and you’re across the room on the couch watching it.

    A 60’s German flick based off an 1800’s novel that the great Al Adamson re-edited, added footage to and released in 1977 to cash in on the success of Roots.

    Noteworthy as a curiosity but doesn’t have any of the fun or spontaneity found in Adamson’s other films.

    Starry Eyes opens with a 70s style title opening but other than a few scenes towards the end this flick has more in common with the direct to video low concept low effort output of the early 2000’s.

    It’s not a bad film by any means but it’s a slow unrewarding trudge through forgettable hipster LA art kids and eventually some kinda creepy but in a generic boring way evil Hollywood types.
