Fear Street: 1666

Fear Street: 1666 ★★★½

Fear Street 1666 is a solid and satisfying conclusion to this surprisingly good trilogy. The movie does a very good job tying and wrapping up all the storylines and characters set up from the beginning. I really enjoyed the parallels between the past and the present, which the latter in particular featured some of the most intense and suspenseful moments in the whole trilogy. There were even a few emotional moments throughout that I thought truly worked and elevated this film from being just another standard horror feature. The way the film switches from its time period setting back to the present day ('94 really) setting can seem a little jarring and it could've been a bit tighter. Still, this is a twisty and worthy end to the Fear Street trilogy that I very much enjoyed and I highly recommend checking out, especially for horror fans.
