this film is *chefs kiss* perfection in all ways
Sorry you know I had to, but yeah this is easily my absolute favorite Pixar. One of those really formative movies for me when I was younger.
Anyone can cook. All of its messages all the way from ones ability in life and their dream, to the complicated but undying relationship between the creator vs the critic are timeless. All super widely resonant lessons to carry and evermore impressive to see it in an animation film whose target audience is mostly kids.
Also I admit to having the biggest soft spot for its entire depiction of France. Just love how it romanticizes Paris in such a beautiful and yet realistic way, and man that score..
